 Last.fm Trends: Brits Join Celebrities To Stand Up To Cancer

Among the artists appearing on tomorrow night’s Stand Up To Cancer broadcast are two British singers – Leona Lewis and Natasha Bedingfield – pitching in to help the assembled celebrities raise funds to tackle the disease head on.

Today Last.fm Trends take a look at how fans have responded to their music so far, as you get ready to tune into Friday’s show live on CBS.

Lewis and Bedingfield enjoy a very similar number of listeners; Lewis comes out ahead by just 63,458 listeners. But in scrobbles – the number of plays individual tracks have received from Last.fm listeners – she leaps ahead. 14,408,099 plays puts her on top by quite a way.

But lots of those plays come for single releases. In terms of albums the two are matched differently.

Bedingfield’s catalog of three albums take around 54% of their combined listeners, despite Lewis’ album Spirit hoarding 38% of the listeners on its own.
