Formerly known as Holly Brook, this Grammy-nominated artist has co-written music for the likes of  [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Dr. Dre[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Eminem[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm] and was recently seen performing “I Need a Doctor” alongside [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Eminem [/lastfm]and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Dr. Dre[/lastfm] at the 53rd GRAMMY Awards.  But now the multi-instrumental singer-songwriter and record producer is ready to release her own work.

MySpace recently hung out with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Skylar Grey[/lastfm] at the SXSW Fader Fort event. In this interview, they talk about her big break with[lastfm link_type="artist_info"] Fort Minor[/lastfm] on “Where’d You Go” under the name Holly Brook, her encounter with hip-hop producer [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Alex da Kid[/lastfm], working with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Dr. Dre.[/lastfm] and her upcoming solo record released on Interscope Records.
