Snoop entered a theater packed with his adoring fans. They immediately leapt to their feet when Snoop Dogg began to belt out “Lay Low.” He got the crowd moving with mature versions of “Platinum” and “Wet.”
His set went on and contained classic hits like “Next Episode” and newer singles from his latest album (released today) Doggumentary. Snoop Dogg’s fans cheered for each and every song. Everyone from grandmas to teenagers was dancing in the aisles.
A Twitter-er said it best, as Snoop segued into “Drop It Like It’s Hot.”
In the middle of the show, Snoop walked to the side of the stage and spied a kid in the corner of the room. The pre-tweener was fascinated with his idol. Snoop walked over, bumped fists with the kid and introduced his classic hit “Gin and Juice,” noting that he probably wrote it before the child was even born.
The master collaborator ended the night by performing a duet with the one and only [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Willie Nelson[/lastfm]. Willie took to the stage, told a tale about the two green heroes storming Amsterdam together then launched into his radio hit “Superman.” The stars of their respective formats ended the night shaking hands, hugging and taking pictures with their biggest fans.
This is truly a groundbreaking concert and brought together Snoop fans from around the world! Be sure to come back tonight for photos and keep checking back for video from the night!
