After recently revealing his strategy for guest-rapping, 2 Chainz breaks down his Follow Friday Twitter rules.

“I think you should follow people who have positive energy,” he told CBS Local. “A lot of people follow people who have certain sexy pics or people that do negative stuff. I can’t lie and say I don’t. I guess it’s cool to follow someone who has some teachings, something you can learn from. Maybe some news,” he said. “Follow me, I’m a cool guy.”

Currently at 916,000, 2 Chainz is looking to round out his number of followers.

“I don’t have a million followers on Twitter but I plan on having it by the time my album drops,” he said.

2 Chainz’s debut album, Based On A T.R.U. Story is due out August 14 and has reportedly shipped more than 500K.  2 Chainz explained why he thinks people will be fulfilling the orders.

“I have great collaborations,” he said. “I think it has some type of substance, it holds weight. It’s real true stories I bring to the table…I feel like I re-wrote my own history and I want people to be a part of this ride.”
