Ace Hood dialed into Hot 93.7 for an exclusive interview with Jenny Boom Boom. Ace talked about his brand new single, “I Need Your Love” featuring Trey Songz, as well as his international love, and when we can expect his next album to drop.

Ace Hood is fresh out of Canada where he performed a show attended by twenty five hundred strong. “It was crazy, the show was crazy,” he recalled on his performance that also guest starred French Montana.  “As soon as I walked out on stage in Canada, Montreal, I couldn’t believe how much love I actually had out there. It was my first time being in Montreal.  If I never been to a city, I never know what to expect.”

While the show was one of the liveliest Ace has ever performed, he noted that Japan also gave him a lot of international love. “Every night was sold out,” said the rapper on last year’s tour dates in Japan. “They know every word, line– it’s crazy.”

Ace Hood’s brand new single, “I Need Your Love,” featuring Trey Songz was just released.  “I Need Your Love just came about rhyming in the studio,” explained Ace on the creation of the song.  “When came for the engineer to produce the record, he’s a new producer, he just happened to make a dope beat.” When it came time to find someone to collaborate with, Ace turned right to Trey.  “We used to do college tours and we always had that relationship man, so I called him ASAP when I needed that record,” explained Ace. “It was dope for me and Trey Songz to reunite again because the last record we did the ladies went crazy.”

Does a new single mean that we can expect a full album in the near future? “When the time is right,” stated Ace Hood. “This record, this album, I want it to be right. I feel like there’s a few things that I need to do on my end.  I am focused on continue to build my fan base, continue to get people great music.” Ace Hood attributes his strong work ethic to his high profile mentors, including Rick Ross and DJ Khaled.  “I immediately learned off of them. Just never sleeping, always working, and trying to create new ideas, new music.”  One thing is for sure, whenever it drops, the next album should be something to look forward to.
