“The Innovation Insider,” Steve Greenberg, called in to the Hot Morning Show to tell us all about the latest gadgets available in stores now, and what will be the hottest gifts of the year! Having trouble finding things to put on your wish list this holiday season? Check out some of Steve’s ideas below!
Motorola S11-Flex HD headphones
“They are Bluetooth enabled; you can pair them with any of your mp3 players, smartphone tablet or laptop. You can customize them to fit. You get a crystal clear HD sound. They won’t fall out of your ear and they are really great for working out or going to the gym. If you love your music, this is a must have.”
D-Link Cloud Camera 1100
“It is really easy to set up, it uses home Wi-Fi to send streaming videos to your computer, tablet, and smartphone. It’s got built in night vision. No monthly fees. You can set this camera up and keep track of your home, your valuables, and your pets, anywhere. I am in New York right now, I live in Miami… I can go on my smartphone and see what is going on in my apartment. It’s really a great piece of technology.”
The Amazing Spider-Man: Video Game
(By Activision, available on all major platforms)
“It’s the 50th anniversary of Spider-Man and it is co-creator Stan Lee’s 90th birthday. They added some additional content to it where you actually get to play Stan Lee with Spidey’s powers. It’s kind of a clever idea, and a nice homage to Stan Lee.”
3M Streaming Projector Powered by Roku
“Along with watching movies, TV, and games on a big screen, in a home with Wi-Fi signals you can access Netflix, Hulu+, and other streaming media! Because it is a projector, if you back it away sixteen feet from the wall, you can get an image that is about one hundred and twenty inches diagonally across! It is great for movie night in the backyard or while going camping!”
Battle of the Smartphones: Samsung Galaxy or iPhone 5?
“If the person is really tech savvy, and they really are a natural at tech stuff, than probably a Galaxy is the right way to go because it is a more powerful device. If the person is not that tech savvy and wants something easier to use, than I would go with the iPhone 5. It’s just a simpler product to use, and for the majority of people that might be a better fit.”
