Shawn Prez (Bad Boy Records Executive and founder of the 15 year old premier  Urban Lifestyle Marketing firm Power Moves Inc) calls into the Hot Afternoon Crew and talks why he created the GSAs to award and honor the world’s most dynamic DJs who have impacted diverse audiences globally and across genres.

This Monday November 19th the GSA’s will go down in NYC, and its all hosted by Sway from MTV.  Us at Hot 93.7 are happy to say our own DJ Buck and DJ Craig G have been nominated for an award.  Shawn Prez says “Throughout my career I’ve formed long standing relationships with DJs, and have always noticed the lack of recognition given to them and the roles they play within the culture, music and entertainment.  The GSAs were created to fill that void and finally honor the DJs exclusively for their achievements, especially amongst their peers. Simply put, DJs deserve their own version of the Grammy’s.”
