Jingle Jam ’12 performer, Meek Mill called into the Hot Afternoon Show with Jenny Boom Boom & DJ Craig G! Meek talked about creating his debut solo album, what it will take for him to battle Cassidy, and what we can expect when he performs at Jingle Jam in Hartford tonight!

Meek Mill has been on tour all year, hot off of his success of his album, Dreams and Nightmares. Meek explained that although it was his debut studio album, he felt no pressure recording it. “I wasn’t really nervous. I just wanted to record it and have fun with it… Don’t put no pressure, and continue to always do what I have been doing.” Meek also told us about his freestyle based recording process. He explained that never writes any of his tracks down. “Every time I get in the studio I just go. When I am in the studio I don’t really write nothing down, I play a lot of beats… I just go off of that.”

Meek Mill has been no stranger to the press this year –one of the hottest topics being the rivalry between Meek Mill and fellow rapper, Cassidy. Cassidy has already admitted to be willing to battle Meek. However, Meek explained he will only agree to it if the price is right. “You know me. I don’t got no problem with doing nothing,” said Meek. “I just say they have to pay me the right amount of money. If I get paid the right amount of money I will battle anyone in the world.”

Meek Mill will be in town live tonight at the XL Center for Jingle Jam ‘12. “We are ready to turn it up. Jingle Jam [is] one of my favorite spots,” said Meek who also tore the place up at last year’s show. “We are gonna do it better than last time.” Also performing at the show tonight –Rick Ross, boss of Maybach Music Group, the label Meek signed to last year. Can we expect the two to hit the stage together?

“We are definitely gonna end up touching the stage together… That’s a must.”

You don’t want to miss this performance! It all goes down tonight at 7pm at the XL Center! You can still purchase tickets at ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster locations!
