This week on the Friday Nite Spotlite, G.Money da Prince & DJ Hawk chop it up with the multi-talented group Abstract Framework. The group consists of 3 individual young film makers that decided to take crack at the Hip-Hop game as well. Listen to this interview to get a 100% different aspect on the music biz from behind the lens.
Abstract Framework is a production company out of Hartford, CT dedicated to the visual medium. The company consists of 3 filmmakers: Nelson Ortiz, Christian Alvarado, and Tarzan Bobadilla. Working on projects separately, they met up by way of mutual friends and decided to collaborate as business partners to create one brand. They have worked on numerous music videos, web series episodes, promos, live events, films, photo shoots, and behind the scenes footage. As a group they believe in keeping a very open relationship with their clients, support system and business partners. When a project is completed, their work does not finish there. Abstract Framework believes in assisting as much as possible in the promotion of the work, giving advice to clients on how to build their following, and gives back to those partners who have helped them along the way.
Music became a passion when Abstract Framework began to constantly be involved in the studio with many artists; being able to see the start of a session to its completion, to a release of a music video, made them want to start music as a hobby. At this point, they’ve recorded tracks about their struggles, their success stories, and a few funny parodies. Their outlook for the future includes expanding their brand, working on larger video productions, and continuing to strengthen their bond with artists.
