To call Prince’s Paisley Park estate a “mansion” would undersell its complexity and significance in the late icon’s career. The Purple One’s abode was a home, recording studio, party venue, intellectual property vault, and architectural expression of everything Prince did as an artist. Very soon, the general public will be able to tour the Minnesota estate, reports Rolling Stone.
“Opening Paisley Park is something that Prince always wanted to do and was actively working on,” Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson said in a statement. “Only a few hundred people have had the rare opportunity to tour the estate during his lifetime.”
The tours will begin this fall though no firm date has been announced.
“Now fans from around the world will be able to experience Prince’s world for the first time as we open the doors to this incredible place,” she added.
