The issues and legal battle between Lil Wayne and Birdman seem to have been getting the best of Wayne lately. Wayne posted a tweet last week that suggested he was retiring from music as a result of all of the drama. Tweeting:
Yesterday Wayne cleared everything up with an interview with Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe. Wayne says that it was his “tipping point” and the tweet was a response to “an argument over what’s going on.” He went on to say that as far as the tweet he does “still feel that way” and he will “until something is done about it then maybe it’ll change.” As for Birdman he says he would not work with him again. He says “this is business. Once the business is right, then the business is right.”
He also shared his surprise and gratitude for artists he doesn’t know well like Kendrick Lamar and Young Thug saying he didn’t “know it mattered.” He says he does want to make music and has not reached the “height” of his creativity and career.
