Is Marc Jacobs Wrong for Having His Models Wear Fake Locs?

Renowned designer Marc Jacobs has longevity in the fashion game for pushing limits.  The Spring/Summer 2017 collection he premiered during Mercedes Benz’s New York Fashion Week was no different.  The clothes featured pastel colors and metallics with a futuristic flare, and the hair, well, was their version of locs.  The locs were multicolored and made of wool, and worn by White models.  He’s receiving a lot of backlash for the decision to have his models wear locs saying it’s cultural misappropriation.  He received back lash for his Spring/Summer 2015 fashion show when all of his models sported bantu knots.  Check out the pics below and decide for yourself.  Is this artistic or offensive?
