Kanye West Ends Concert Early, Citing ‘Family Emergency’

By Brian Ives

Kanye West had to end his headlining performance at the first Meadows Music Festival in New York early, due to a “family emergency,” according to the festival’s official Twitter account.

As of now, there’s no word as to what that family emergency was, or what family member was affected. Radio.com writer Rahul Lal reports that, less than an hour into the show, “All we saw was somebody walk up to the stage and whisper something to Kanye, and then he turned around and looked at him and ended the show.” Lal notes that West went on thirty-five minutes late, starting at 8:50 pm ET instead of the scheduled 8:15.

This is a developing story.
