Lil Wayne’s rant about the Black Lives Matter movement got lots of negative attention. During an interview, Wayne was asked about his thoughts on the movement and things quickly went south. Wayne said he didn’t feel connected to it and that he was no politician before ultimately walking out of the interview.
Wayne is now saying that he actually got upset when the interviewer asked him questions about his daughter. He was asked about how he references women in his music and it being labeled misogynistic. Wayne acknowledged her question without looking like he took any offense to it. She continued on to ask him how he would feel if someone referred to his daughter as a “b**** or a hoe.” Wayne replied that he would be very upset about that but that he never specifically called anyone particular woman out of her name unless they had a real issue.
Wayne is now saying that was when he got upset, which led to him putting “no thought” into is responses.
